My wife and I engage in a friendly competition over the jumble in the newspaper each day. when one of us sees the other taking an excessive amount of time over a word (more than a few seconds) we start dropping subtle and not so subtle hints. if I don't make it to the kitchen table in time for the daily ritual she starts without me. this morning she shouted up the stairs what has two Es two us and a Q. I heard her stifle a laugh, and though I wasn't there I could see the smile on her face.
I was walking through the neighborhood one afternoon when, on turning a corner, I nearly tripped over a gray squirrel that was sitting in the middle of the sidewalk, eating a nut. Startled by my sudden appearance, the squirrel dashed out to the road — right in front of an oncoming car.
Biobigotry is the persistent and often irrational desire to be surrounded only by those species of which one approves.
Oh my, I'm a biobigot. I suppose I should make amends to the Mourning Dove I called stupid bird, and squirrel who I condemmed for raiding the birdfeeder.

Angle Sends Cease-And-Desist To Reid -- for Reposting her Own Website
Sharron Angle has resorted to an unusual maneuver to counter Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's attacks on her past quotes and positions, the Reid campaign has announced: a cease-and-desist letter, demanding that Reid no longer republish Angle's previous campaign website.
The short version of the story is as follows: After the former state Rep won Nevada's Republican Senate primary, Angle's campaign took down most of its website, and later replaced it with a relaunched version that in some ways toned down her right-wing rhetoric. But Internet pages are rarely ever forgotten -- the Reid campaign saved the old version, and put up a website called "The Real Sharron Angle," reproducing the old content.
