Im wanting to go vegan, I know all the teas I have are vegan, how could they not be, but Ive heard of vegan coffee, so Im wondering if Folgers is vegan or not. I dont like creamers or sugar, just black.
I know this is gross, but Folgers coffees are stored in a warehouse, and there are trace amounts of cockroach in preground and mass produced coffee. Many people with cockroach allergies can't drink Folgers, Maxwell or other mass-produced preground coffees. So, since bugs = animals, and vegans abstain from eating animal-based products, its not vegan.
Yes. all coffee is vegan until you put dairy. I personally don't use any dairy or alternatives, simply because I actually like the taste of water, coffee powder, and sugar, with no dairy alternative added.

My techs often state they see them crawling thru espresso bean hoppers in national
chain stores while servicing the machines.
Know your roaster if possible. make sure they keep things clean.
Buy Green Mountain Coffee. they have a brew straight out of Costa Rica, fair-trade and grown organically. Plus, a percentage of the profits go back toward sustainable organic farming. enjoy..
Folgers sucks anyway. just try something better like actual ground coffee.
