Breeders’ Cup Winners
When you win a big horse race, there are a lot of perks that go along with it. With the Triple Crown races, there comes a lot of prestige. With some of the races over in Europe, there comes with a great big purse to take home and enjoy. As a horse owner, there is one race that you absolutely have to win to make a career, though. The past Breeders’ Cup winners don’t only get money or prestige, they get both. As one of the top races in the world and a culmination of the horse racing season, this is an event that is as challenging as it is exciting. That is ultimately why horse owners put so much focus on it.
Who are some of the most famous past winners of this event? Going back to 1987, you find what might be called the first “great” horse to win the event. That year, Ferdinand became one of the first of the incredible Breeders’ Cup winners that would follow in a long line. He dueled with fellow Kentucky Derby champion Alysheba to the finish in what has become one of the most classic races of all time. The two horses dominated the field together and when they came to the finish, it was only a nose that made the difference.
The following year, Alysheba would not be denied. He had lost to Ferdinand in a classic, but like great Breeders’ Cup winners do, he came back and took the event the next year. This is something that is interesting in the horse racing world. Alysheba was a horse that had claimed the Kentucky Derby and a host of other events, but he did not feel that his career was close to complete until he became one of the Breeders’ Cup winners. That alone should be enough to show fans the significance of this event to the people who run the horse racing world.
You could also point to the great champion of 1995. Cigar was an incredible horse that was in a class of his own and he is known as one of the best to ever run for the big money. As far as past Breeders’ Cup winners are concerned, he is not one of the horses that came in with the most prestige, but he did leave with a lot of prestige. This is one of the ways that the Breeders’ Cup winners can make their career with only one win. Many horses come to the race with the intention of wanting to add something or complete their career. Some Breeders’ Cup winners, like Cigar, make their career on that one win.
If you become one of the great past Breeders’ Cup winners, it doesn’t matter what else happens in your career. As a handler, trainer, or owner, you are on top of the horse racing world when you claim the money from this event. It is easily the most important race that you can win in this sport.
I wrote different articles but most of them are about the Horse racing related to my websites.
STARBUCKS K CUPS. WILL IT EVER HAPPEN?
Will Starbucks ever have K cups for the Keurig coffee maker, Keurig does have a reusable filter for your own coffee, but I heard conflicting reviews on them. Are they that bad? I get the free bag of Starbucks coffee per week as I am a Starbucks partner. I really want this machine, but if I can't use my free coffee satisfacterly, I dont know if I can.
Answer
I think if you use gourmet coffee in the refillable cups it makes an excellent cup. I think it all depends on the quality of coffee you refill with. I never could understand the K cup crazy because the coffee itself isn't fresh.
