Indonesian island of Sumatra, Mandheling beans are considered to be amongst the regions finest. Natural milling slowly dries and hardens the ripe cherries, giving this coffee an earthy flavor with low acidity and an earthy herbal aroma. Due to Sumatra Mandheling's syrupy body and low acidity it continues to be one of the more popular coffees.

Sumatran coffee can be roasted to a broad range of roast levels, but suggested roasting is Light or French Roast.
